Liza Levy - Ms. Levy was born in  Cape TownSouth Africa and graduated from the  University of  Cape Town Barkly House Teacher’s College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She immigrated to  Washington  DC in 1984 and has been living in the area for the past 25 years. Ms. Levy taught for the JCCGW Early Childhood Department satellite center in  Silver Spring, first as a teacher and later as director of the satellite center.

Ms. Levy has spent the last 20 years actively “working” for the Jewish Community. Liza Levy has been an active board member of the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School since 2001, first chairing the Nediv Lev Parent Campaign in 1998-1999 and from 2003 - 2006 was Chair of Education. Ms. Levy was a board member of Adat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation from 1999-2003 during which time she was Chair of Fundraising/Development.

Liza Levy joined the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington in 1998 and has held many positions including Chair of the Identity Division of Planning and Allocations, President of the Women’s Division of Federation, she presently serves as the VP Leadership Development Jewish Federation of Greater Washington as well as co- chair of philanthropic leadership (major gifts). She was a 1999 Recipient of the Jerome J. Dick Young Leadership Award.

Ms. Levy has been a member of the Lion of Judah Executive Coucil since 2002. From 2003 to present she has participated in the, Wexner Heritage Foundation Leadership Study program. In 2003 Ms. Levy founded and has been chair of the Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation.

In 2000 Ms. Levy co-founded JCADA and has been an executive board member since its inception.
