Steve Siesser - Mr. Siesser joined the Council on Foundations in December 2008 as vice president, Finance and Administration. Prior to joining the Council, he was vice president, Finance & Human Resources for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) for 12 years. Prior to joining NAIFA, Steve spent seven years with Visual Systems Co., a regional chain of retail art supply stores, in the capacity of chief financial officer, in-house legal counsel, and human resources director. Additionally, he has over 14 years of experience as a tax and financial planning specialist with various public accounting firms. He also served three years on the AICPA’s national steering committee for personal financial planning, writing extensively on tax issues for various publications. He graduated with honors in political science from New York University and received his law degree from St. John’s University . He is admitted to the NY and DC bars. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Society for Human Resource Management, and has served on the board of the Finance and Administration Roundtable. Prior to the merger with ASAE, Steve was also a member of the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives, participating in the Finance and Admin specialty interest group (SIG) and serving on the Salary Survey Council for three years, culminating as chairperson of the 1999 survey.
