Middle school was a tough time for most of us. The explosion of the social media and the increase in our ‘connectedness’ to each other every moment of every day has only made this already confusing time tougher. Even with more focus on health & wellness in the curriculum, books and lessons on healthy relationships can’t compete with what teens & tweens experience and feel every day.

#healthyfriendships is a program that gives middle schoolers the chance to learn more about what it means to be a good friend, based on CDC best practices. Students learn how to be an upstander in hard situations, which serves them well into the future.

I learned that you should always treat others the way you want to be treated and not exclude people.
