It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors announces Elissa Malter Schwartz’s resignation as Executive Director of the Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (JCADA) effective immediately. JCADA wishes Ms. Schwartz continued success as she moves on.
Over the last 10 years, Ms. Schwartz has helped grow the organization to save countless lives. JCADA began by serving a handful of victims of power- and gender-based violence with case management to providing direct clinical and legal services to nearly 1,000 survivors to date. Under Ms. Schwartz’s leadership, JCADA has educated thousands of clergy, community, and business leaders and provided its signature healthy relationships and teen violence prevention programming to over 8,500 teens, educators, and youth professionals in our community.
During this transition, Cortney Fisher, JD, PhD, will be serving as the Interim Executive Director and our focus will remain on continuing JCADA’s important mission to support support victims of domestic abuse to become empowered and live safely; educate the community about domestic abuse and appropriate responses; and prevent future generations from suffering domestic abuse.
If you have any questions or concerns during this transition process, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at email@example.com.
